With our Easy4u solutions, we provide hundreds of thousands of students across Europe each year with reliable educational laptops — complete with service and support. As a Software Engineer, you’ll work on our Easy Eco-system and the accompanying tools that are used daily by students and schools across Europe. You will develop new features, maintain existing applications, and actively contribute to discussions on architecture and technical decisions.
Our environment is evolving rapidly towards event-driven solutions with Kafka, and we are increasingly investing in AI models to integrate in our solutions and to help us develop smarter and faster. AI experience is not a must, but it’s definitely a plus — and we’ll support you in growing your skills in this area.
What you'll do:
Develop new features in Laravel (v10+), Vue/React, and our service-oriented architecture.
Work with MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Linux as the foundation of our platform.
Contribute to our event-driven architecture with Kafka..
Integrate external systems.
Help us integrating the power of AI into our eco-system.
Optimise our CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and DevOps processes.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary international team and help shape our technical direction.

What we ask from you
We’re looking for a driven and independent developer with a broad technical background. You are solution-oriented, business-minded, and know how to translate complex challenges into working solutions.
At least 5 years of experience in software development, of which at least 3 years with Laravel.
Experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue or React.
Strong knowledge of MySQL and Linux.
Experience with Redis and CI/CD is a plus.
Experience with Kafka, event-driven development, or AI applications is a bonus.
A structured way of working, writing clean and maintainable code.
Fluent in English and good command of Dutch is a pré.
Clear communication with colleagues, careful documentation of your work, and full ownership of your deliverables.
You are located in The Netherlands, Belgium or UK, nearby our offices in Den Bosch, Lubbeek or Crawley.
